It's done on the info screen on the Velar. On the lower touch screen there should be that A with a circle around it symbol. Touch that to deactivate. But just for that journey of course...

Thanks,
Just rented a 2018 Camry that beeped constantly because it thought I was going over the lines.

I'd be really happy to go back to the simplicity of my 64 Triumph TR4 that I had to fix weekly. Wouldn't be too safe now though.

So I had my 2019 in for its first service. Not cheap. but I digress. I was told an interesting tidbit by my service advisor. Apparently the Auto/Start stop system has a dedicated battery and a dedicated starter. Service advisor said that the battery is smaller and eventually will get weaker. He said that the system is very voltage sensitive and that after it senses the alternate starter battery putting out less than the required voltage the stop feature will just quit working and the car will run as normal and not shut off at lights. He said it wont put up a warning or any kind of indicator that its happened. Essentially he said it will eventually just quit and you can go on your merry way and not ever worry about it again. We'll see if thats the case if I keep the car that long.

I'd try to find this aux battery and disconnect it. I saw some advises for previous years LR and RR. Does anyone have more info on it?

I believe our D5’s do not have this battery that was on older LR 4’s. I looked for it in the electrical schematics and could not find it and have been told by my service manager that it isn’t there. If there were a battery I would assume it would have to have a fuse and I couldn’t find one listed either

The earlier JLR start stop system used a second smaller battery. Since about 2017 it instead has a capacitor to provide power. Not quite sure if the capacity turns the starter while battery powers systems or the other way around

Anyway, see for example below for F Pace. If someone can find the module you could remove the wire and permanently disable it.

I believe the module if we have one is somewhere near left front fender in engine bay but not sure where. I’d be happy to share schematics but they are home and I am in India and hope they will let me back into the US after my trip.
Might still be unable to post them though because they are on many pages but I will look at the end of the month if I can.

Great. Interested to see. I had assumed it's in the trunk side panel as it seems to be close to the battery in the other models. But if you have diagrams we can look to track it down.

it should be in the trunk right panel , next to the fuse box as in F-phase and RR SVR
I don't see it in the front
I have no access to the car fro few weeks
Can someone check and confirm ?
