New (to me) D5
This is page 1 and 3 from my scanner. As you can see, you can program lot of gauges on it. I also have SG2, who I bought like 20 years ago, but SG3 beats it in display hands down.
You can't just "go and buy" the gauge. Nobody stocks it, so it is internet order only. Check your local Autopart for occasional coupons, as I often get 20% off.
Seem all sellers have $300 price, so coupon is the only discount you can get.
I'm sorry you're having to go through this on a new truck, especially one as nice at that copper D5. Next to our loire blue, the copper is my favorite. It sounds like the dealer is stepping up and fixing what needs to be fixed. When they're done you should hopefully have a pretty reliable vehicle.
I am new to LR, but been driving MB diesels for last 25 years, so my experience comes from MB, when per my observation LR is using the same technology.
There is only 1 sensor on DPF, what is pressure differential sensor. All other parameters are calculated from it, so take them with grain of salt.
The ECU suppose to deal with DPF regeneration, but there is several parameters, who can prevent it going, so I always strongly advise to get monitoring scanner and latest ScanGauge3, when not cheap is very good tool.
So make sure you don't have any codes and enough fuel when regeneration is to come. Some owners make extra loop to avoid abortion, but I don't hesitate to do it one time. Then make sure the regeneration is complete on following drive.

Hi. DPF was received today. I left the wagon at dealer for repairs. Also the passenger window regulator is damaged. Other stuffs, I think bushings needs replacement, if I used the rear window washer; the water ingress the passenger side are windshield. And the steering wheel sounds funny, likes 2 pieces of leather touching, squelching.
So far I love the car.
Looking for the best gauge to monitor the DPF passive regen. I normally drive 20 mins to work. But use the car for longer trips during then weekends. Non stop
cross country trips. And sometimes 2 hrs of highway.

I am getting "Passive regeneration" messages on my ScanGauge3, but I can't say it is lowering the DPF particle load.
I own Discovery for short time, so not much experience, but the only time I could tell for sure the passive regeneration works when I was driving MB Sprinter with V6 diesel and towing 4000lb trailer, I was climbing Baker, CA 17-miles grade.
In spring time, the temperatures were below normal 100+, so I was pushing it at 60 mph and after 17 miles, my DPF load dropped by about 30%.
Don't know if that is really useful information for the driver, but it made me feel better.

I highly recommend the GAP G4 tool for anyone with a modern Land Rover. It gives you visibility into nearly every sensor and metric imaginable. OBD codes have full descriptions. You can change settings of the truck, reset service indicators, reset values when a module or part is swapped... it's pretty much the de-facto diagnostic tool for LR owners. Specific to the DPF you can see the regen state, trigger a regen on the next drive, see the calculated soot load in real-time, and a few other things.
For the driving you describe you should probably be fine. You get into trouble if you only ever drive the truck in the city. An hour at highway speeds once a week will keep things in good shape.
