They do however make a Delvac1 ESP 5-40 and it seemed to have quietly showed up just recently .
They did few years ago.
Mobil 1 seems to expand its production quite a bit in latest years. but once you loose the trust in the brand, with good competition you will never go back.
That's great! I think this is the closest we can come to the Magnatec, LRTime recommends.
The Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 is what I want to switch too.
I ran the Regular Delvac 1 5w-30 in my commuter car, TDI VW( no dpf) from 2003 to 2010, I managed 495K miles, before I was hit head on, and totaled it.
My current commuter car is a 2015 VW TDI, which I'm running Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30, I'm only at 200K on it. I may switch it over too.
Liqui Moly Top Tec 5W/30 + PS Diesel Kleen
UOA @55k (I now have a lot more stop/go traffic on the freeway, so that might be the reason for a higher fuel level in the oil)
The motor is now on Liqui Moly Special Tec AA 5W/40
Next UOA should be at 60k
Frankly I am quite disappointed how Liqui Moly wears.
When fuel dilution might be 1 thing, the flash point and other parameters are pretty poor as well and all that for low mileage on oil.
Similarly on other forum a fellow member posted results for Valvoline oil and that was disappointment as well.
So at this point, the Motul X-Clean EFE 5W/30 seems to be unbeatable oil for modern diesels.
I do have report on it after making 10,000 miles on my Mercedes Bluetec, if somebody would like to compare, but don't want to flood this forum with other brands comparison.
Bottom line, for me there is Motul hands down.
