Default Right Front Lower rear control Arm Change

2017 D5

Tools needed: 36mm 12 point socket, 18mm 6 point socket, 1/2 air impact, air chisel with point. pry bar is helpful.
The 2 18mm bolts have LR's version of cage nuts( so they won't turn)
Spray a couple days before with penetrant lube.
45 minutes, pretty easy.

Good Luck!

Lock in lowest position, before jacking.

Seems to me the rubber boot failed ( probably age), started squeaking from lack of grease.

The ball joint itself was perfectly tight, just lost its lube.

I try to inspect all the rubber during oil change time. I missed it.
