No - it changed on its own. Same sim card same settings.

 

My new Disco had an issue with getting the vehicle to respond to the setup of the Wifi and remote commands. Looks like they had to put a new SIM card in and start all over. That's fixed...they say...Anyways...I use AT&T for my cell provider, and I called the special # they give you for your free trial on the 3 or 4 G system. Looks like after the trial they want 20 bucks a month for the roving Wifi. I guess it gives better and faster service than using your cell phone...Anyone know what the real deal is?

I'm also interested in this. I've been wondering if there's an "upgrade" for the 2017 to go to 4G. But, if 3G works better than 3G on my iPhone, I won't care.

 

Interestingly enough, I leave the vehicles "wifi" on and when I drive around town I pick up Xfinity hot spots everywhere and other wonderful public WiFi hot spots. I am not sure if you can route an external wifi hot spot to the vehicles internal wifi hot spot, but for those in urban areas this might be worth trying.
