Default Hello just got my 1st disco

Hello I just picked up a 04 disco se had a ton of maintenance records , has a few issue that need sorting .

only has 121k miles ,super clean interior
head gasket done 10k miles ago

1. has a issues accelerating. No smoke . No overheating , but it threw codes for spark plug, distributor and throttle body gasket , as well as misfires , maf and cat code has no milk shake in the engine or the radiator both clean.

2.Also if you rev it up when parked it will die after the rpm’s fall , it will struggle to accelerate but engine revs good and free my mechanic said it’s a fuel issue or cats?

vacuum lines?

also it does need the front crank shaft seal will tackle as soon as I find one.

3. I have a mysterious center diff fluid leak any insight or common issue to check on that ?

any help appreciated ,

Welcome! I second posting this in the other forum. But one thing to try is to disconnect the battery for a bit to clear out all the adaptations. Then start it up and drive it. If it runs well open loop when cold, but then gets sluggish once it goes closed loop then it's not a cat issue.

Unfortunately I don't know any way to test the cats except to 1. make sure they aren't glowing red after a hard drive or 2. disconnect them and see if it runs better.

Good luck!
