Not doubting you... but how do you know it saved you from that?
To my best knowledge I know they run hot and did burn out (at least the first production years) ,
I like to have the rear lights burning always so I turn on the lights everytime.
Presuming when the DRL's are dimmed they get less hot and theoretically last longer.
Thank you, I am aware of llams. It’s a lot of hardware to install.
im not even looking to access different heights from OEM. I just want to disable the automatic height change at 50MPH so I can drive around in offroad height if I choose.
was hoping the GAP tool has this since I already paid for it!
Unfortunately, while we even have a method to allow off-road height to be run at any speed, we're not going to implement it due to liability issues. You can simply change the vehicles height with the IIDTool, though. If you add 75mm you'll effectively be at off-road height at standard height, tho you might run into issues if you then try to go into off-road height and in off-road, you'd have very little suspension droop left (downward movement of the suspension). Our Ozzie customers often add a few cm's (3-4) for long drives in the outback. That way you're keeping the cg sane as well.
Llams provides a quick way to change heights (the twist of a ****) but requires an install - and, if you already have an IIDTool (or plan on buy one) and an additional 40-50 secs, the IIDTool has 3 height memory profiles with which you can change the vehicle's height at the touch of a button. You simply change the height to what you'd like (you can change all or one axle or even one wheel at a time) and save the setting to one of the 3 profiles.
Just curious, for those of us with coil suspension, can options like dynamic mode, terrain response be enabled by the G4 ? (Obviously no suspension adjustment, but the other benefits perhaps ?)
I've read the thread and am aware of noticeable changes in Dynamic Mode with regards to manual shift performance. My question is how Dynamic affects the shifting/throttle if you leave the gear selector on Automatic. Like is the throttle more agressive in Dynamic/Auto versus Comfort/Auto or is it exactly the same?
Just curious, has anyone figured out away for the DRLs to not dim with the headlights/fog lights on?
I like the look of the foglights switched on without the full headlights turned on. But then it dims the DRLs which kinda sucks. No biggie, just wondered if anyone has figured it out?
Separately, I like the feature that allows the turn signals in the front to remain illuminated to replace the DRLs. But it seems like one or the other, is there anyway to do both?
Bumping this question in case anyone has found anything??
