Has anybody got it to work on models 2023 or newer? Why start button is grayed out? Is there some change in technology between newer and older models?
I finally got my car back from dealer and coded most of things available for our cars. But this is only thing doesn't work. I have 203 D90 P400. If anyone really made this work, please share with rest of us!
Didn’t the AWD system change in 2023 to one that is essentially an automatic part-time? I wonder if this switch had some impact on how things are coded in the 2020-2022 cars vs. 2023+. If so, perhaps it could be helpful to take a look at how the L460 or L461 are coded for their auto-park functions.

I tend to think that, unfortunately, at the regular user level, it may not be possible to find a solution or even an answer to this issue. If someone happens to know a technician who works at a Land Rover dealership and knows the ins and outs of these cars, perhaps that technician could provide some insight. They might be able to say whether the problem lies somewhere in the software, if a physical part needs to be replaced, or if it’s simply impossible to get this system working without completely rebuilding the car.
I see that people here have compared the software settings of different Defenders—on one car, the parking assist works, while on another, it doesn’t—yet there are no obvious differences in the software configurations of these cars.
It could be that the solution is very simple, but it could also be that there’s nothing that can be done to make it work unless the car is rebuilt from the ground up. But it would really be nice to know what the difference is—why this system works on some cars and not on others.
I just wanted to add my experience with paddle shifter retrofit on my 2020.
I bought a carpathian Alcantara steering wheel with paddles, but it had no steering wheel harness. I sourced the harness and changed the 2 CCF
MultiCAN-536 GearboxPaddlesInDrive - Active MultiCAN-537 SWSGearSelectors - Fitted
No go, they would not work. I tried a pivi reset, locking the car, overnight, driving, ended up waiting a week to see if they activated, nothing. Eventually I had a new screen area of pivi settings, vehicle-convenience- “Gear shift paddles” and then it gave the option of sport only or drive and sport. It had sport selected, if I tried drive and sport it would revert back to sport only.
I found something about a DADC relearn, did that, nothing. Then I saw about the TCM needing a relearn. Did that and they instantly worked.
Just wanted to save others the head scratching on that topic.
Can confirm, just did mine and the TCM relearn is 100% required, I didn't do anything else, just CCF and TCM relearn. one point to note, you'll need to get beta firmware from Patrick/GAP as the latest release firmware as of now doesn't work. was getting operation failed on release build 154, but the latest beta build (277) worked a treat. Should we get this added to the first post?

This is really must-know info and it's tough to read all 430+ post. I like to the idea of adding in the first page.
When I got my GAP tool, I organized all first post info and that's what I coded. I really hope we can add this in the first page.
I created a gpt bot to search in this blog to avoid redounded question hope it works for you but always double check the system to see if it correct but I have tested it a couple of time it seems its working as expected. it also fallows the the gap tool manual if questions are needed.
