GAP IID Tool Summary
Auto brand hold should be in your PIVI system as an option. It enables to brake when your Defender is in full stop. So yes, if you're at complete stop and putting your gear at N, it'll enable auto brake hold. Quite convenience feature in street driving.
For auto leveling, I'm interested as well but not sure how to enable it. I would like to learn more from other members as well!

There’s more to auto brake hold than the Pivi setting. You can turn it off in the Pivi, but a moderate push on the brake pedal will still engage it. It’s called “demand brake hold” Why JLR thought that was a good idea, I’ll never know. But by turning off MultiCAN 711 Auto Hold, you disable both functions, which, in my opinion, is much better than a car that will engage brake hold when it wants to.
This is NOT allowed in my RR. Sure I can coast indefinitely but in order to push down and dial into D, the vehicle has to be totally stopped first, or so close to stopped that it is practically the same situation.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your help and advices I thought it is something wrong with OBD device or I'm doing something wrong, or maybe still doing :P basically what I'm doing is that first of all I'm turning ignition on (without break pedal so engine not starts) and then when I press apply changes I'm not touching anything (ex. break pedal ) until I get information that changes was applied successfully. I was trying to reset media when I had to use car durning the weekend couple times and no luck yet
Double lock you mean double press button on door handle? Does it work if I double press locking button on remote?

I would suggest perhaps - after an update - shut down the car and double lock. This tends to shut down the many systems. And also wait maybe 15 minutes?
And failing that, yes ignore and keep driving for a week or so as some people experienced, things then kick in.

Hello, I am an happy owner of Defender 3.0L 250Hp diesel, 2021, FIRST EDITION model.
During my last attempt to enable park assist function, although I followed all instructions carefully, as usual the function did not work. I tried few times in the past too, with no success.
Questions:
1) is it that park assist function work on some models only ? This is the only reason I see for mine not to work.
2) unfortunately after last attempt above I got left with 2 errors (which are still here) , although I resetted the PIVI twice as instructed and switch the car off for long time. Errors as follows:
2a) Emergency brake assist
2b) drive with caution as 2 wheels traction is working only
Any help ?

GAP TOOL IID ISSUE OBD CONNECTIVITY
I have a GAP tool properly licensed for both my 09 L322 and 12 L322’s. I am at least experienced or very experienced with OBD readers and I have had a connectivity issue before (dead OBD) on a JLR product which this does not feel like. Heres my problem(s).
On the 09 Gap lights up green and then shows me everything including her panties all the goodies underneath-I mean stuff I don’t even ever want to see.
On the 12 however, Gap lights green shows voltage sees VIN says hello, and can do a bunch of things BUT doesn’t have any menu items for the PCM or deep menus like on the 09 for the RLM suspension no matter what I do or how I go in. Period. Its no Gouda.
To be clear, the OBD ports are different and on the 09 I count 11/16 connectors (female) on the OBD and on the 12 I count 12/16 connectors. I’ve read everything and watched everything. Reconnects fine (12 times) however, on the 12, I get the “Download Manual” interrupter with an “Abort” or “Download” seeming “glitch” that will sometimes allow me to by pass it but comes up far more often than on the 09 where it does appear but I can usually bypass it after two attempts.
Additionally, it doesn’t matter that the car is running or not; the suspension can be commanded up or down but to be crystal clear its NOT NEAR the same depth chart as the 09 where I can see the temperature of the motor the pressure sensor etc. Yes I read and cleared faults; there were a bunch on the 09 but GAP didn’t care a bit- it was like an XRAY; however, on the 12 under “live values” PCM I toggle past and get zero (0) options just a blank page. The faults on the 12 were just three; a door locking mechanism fault, and two mirrors left and right heating element shorts. (I know… but I cleared them and even assuming they are literally crossed and somehow don’t draw enough v to trip fuse, how would this disappear an ECU?) The Gap sees 13 ECUs and counts them off; everything loads fine; not a connectivity warning save for what I’ve said – the download manual warning seems quite glitchy; because if I persist I can get past it and into the menus BUT not all of them, its much much worse on the 12 than the 09.
Has anyone experienced this issue OR know anyone that has had this issue. Its just not allowing me menus that it did on the 09 and everything according to GAP is properly licensed.
Does anyone suspect the OBD port and if so can anyone point to the wiring diagram on RAVE that shows how I can track wires back. Wiggling does nothing I have real doubts this is a true connectivity issue.

Best of luck, hopefully you get it sorted!

looking forward to the brighter lights and AFS more than the ADB honestly, but will be nice to have that also!
I just got a decent deal on a set of LHD L8B2-13W029-HJ and L8B2-13W030-HJ headlights. Hoping to have them in the next week or two and get the installed and programmed.
