Does anyone know how to activate an additional key on MY25 with G4 tool? The option shown in the manual is not available in the menu as it is in earlier versions.

 

powerfuluk made a video how to add a key in their YouTube. I followed and successfully activated active key (watch).

 

Really easy, I’ve activated multiple keys and activity bands, just have to remember to put the car in service mode via the app so it will allow activation of new keys.

 

I’ve watched that video. It is pretty straight forward, if the RFA menu was there after the Service and test menu. That’s my issue. I’ve looked under all of the other menu’s and the key related menus aren’t there. It’s under the manuals menu, where it also tells you to utilize the RFA menu which isn’t there.

 

You will probably need to update the tool to the beta version build 195.

That didn’t work. No way to downgrade the version.

 

Email GAP directly. They will guide you step by step.

Scan ECU info and send that to them. Small mailbox delivery icon at the bottom of the window.

 

And btw this is how it is from the factory on cars that come equipped with Auto Terrain response. There is no indication in the instrument cluster when you’re in auto. It’s not just a coding issue when you add it to the car.
