it's probably relatively easy to fix, the problem is opening and sealing after.

$100 AUD is something like $8 in right-side-up money.

Let's do a gofundme to send it to these people and see what they say.
I wish they had a similar service near me. Unfortunately can’t be without a whole headlight for a week

l've asked the question on the U.K. forum and nobody has responded to say their "halo" DRL has failed.

l have to say, l've not heard of these failures over here in the U.K.

l will report back if anyone responds. l wonder if it only happens on the LHD version although l can't see how that could be the case as it's only the headlamp beam pattern that's different.
The Halo LED's are the same.

Those with headlights out - what did your dealer quote as timelines? I’ve read everything from 5 months to a few weeks. My dealer quoted me at around a month. I’m US based FWIW.

I’m approaching 6 months since mine went out. Supposedly coming in towards the end of this month.

I wonder why some dealers can get parts faster than others. Are you in the US?

I could probably be more assertive about it. Called about two weeks ago and talked to the parts manager who actually seemed helpful. Overall I love my Defender, but the thought of forking over $4,000 just to replace a silly light is ridiculous post-warranty. I mean, it’s a light. We’re not talking about rebuilding the suspension or something else that’s actually a larger project. We’re talking about a….headlight.

Driver side just went out on our 2020 SE, just hit 30k miles. These are covered up to 3 year/36k? Called yesterday, they said it will be in on September 12th.

Has anyone tried to get the other, working side replaced preemptively before the warranty goes out?
