I put new KO3s size 275/55r20 on my 2022 Defender P400 110 with stock rims, and then promptly put 120 miles on them driving from Denver to Breck and back (including some light trails while I was there). Initial impressions:
- No rubbing anywhere - even at full articulation.
- Rides better than the stock Goodyear Adventures. Bigger jolts are more muted, but sharper impacts like expansion joints are maybe a little more pronounced. I'll probably play around with inflation a little to see if it makes any difference (currently at 35 psi frt, and 40 psi rear).
- Definitely handles better. Steering is a little heavier, and seems to track better with less wandering on the freeway.
- MPG took a hit. Hard to tell how much until I fill up a few times, but at least 2 or 3 mpg. These tires are almost 20 lbs heavier than the Goodyears and I can definitely feel it during acceleration and when going uphill. They also seem to decelerate a lot more quickly when I let off the gas.
- They look pretty good. I'll post pics soon.
25.5 Defender 100 X w/ 285/45/22 Toyo Open Country's.
UPDATE: After three attempts at balancing these tires are still causing a vibration in the steering wheel. I'm having them swapped out tomorrow. I do not recommend them.
I have 1.25" spacers on my Defender, so i don't know if what i just put on would rub or not without the spacers. But I just had installed yesterday Falken Widepeak R/T01 LT275 / 55 R20. With no rubbing at all.

275/55R20 is an OEM-approved size for winter tires. They'll fit without any rubbing if you don't have spacers.

Interested in Falken Wildpeaks. I have stock 20s currently on my D110 P400. Would 275/55 R20 be the size I need? Also interested if anyone knows the main differences between the Falken AT3 and AT4s? Thx!
Edit: Looks like the AT4s are a completely different tire and much heavier.
