Yeah, it was kinda weird, I had 2 people from a good distance wanting to come for it, 1
3 hrs away, the other almost 6. A couple of my friends called me about it , than my brother calls Friday night, the day before the 3hr guy was coming and told me he was buying it. Maybe I should of asked more, that 3 hr guy offered an etransfer even. But blood is thicker than water. Plus I’d rather someone I know get it.

Thanks. I’m on vacation for 2 weeks so I’m getting some projects done. I’ll post some pics tomorrow, I finished the switches and new wiring harness. I had originally bought a diy fuse and relay box that I had started to build but it was ****ty quality so I made up my own with relay pigtails mounted to a steel plate, I salvaged the fuse holder portion and attached that. Soldered and heat shrimped all the joints except the ground eyelets. Those I’ll coat in worm wool oil.
I pulled that eBay head unit and reinstalled the factory stereo for now. I think I need to change the wiring for it, it would not shut off for the last few weeks. Finally killed my battery. I had forgot to pull the fuse last weekend.

Plastic junk from eBay on the right.

Well it’s been almost a year since I dropped this motor off at the machinists. I finally got it back today. I still have to go through the rocker shafts, install the cam, heads, timing chain, pump, etc. But at least it’s back and looks pretty good.

Well the rocker shafts look like they’re done.

I don’t think I’ll reuse these. I’ll check the ones out from 4L when I pull it. Hopefully they’re in good shape

I’m now also leary about these bearmach timing wheels. They are not machined where they bolt up to the cam. Anyone have experience with these?
