The Green bastard
No not yet. Plus I’m adding a crower cam and a cheap rebuild. New bearings, frost plugs, rings, heads planned, valves ground, and all new gaskets. Probably get the crank polished too. If time allows I’ll port match the heads and intake. New oil pump, water pump, lifters, timing chain and gears too
All my rebuild parts showed up from cross axle customs, great packaging and fast delivery, Abran sent me the crower cam and my full aluminum rad showed up too. Got lots of parts now I need some time. No more excuses. Lol.
That's my problem lately, excuses. I can come up with any reason under the sun not to work on that white 04. Hell, just the other day l even asked my wife if there was anything she needed done around the house. Even she couldn't believe her ears...and after the shock wore off...she dusted off her list that was three miles long...lol.
I'd had the white 04 out behind the corn crib, moved it up closer to the garage so it would be staring me in the face everytime l pull up the driveway...but that hasn't seemed to help. Only time l touch it, is when l push it off the yard onto the driveway to mow the grass or wash it, then back it goes onto the grass. Neighbor even stopped by and said, "l see you got the white one running." "Nope, not yet." "But, l saw you washing it the other day." "Yep, l'd rather do that than work on it...lol".
And now...the new project has appeared (110)...so motivation is again at an all time low for old whitey.
Good luck Richard on the build...and when your done...ship me whatever leftover ambition you might have.
Thank you, in advance.
Brian.

I planned to envelop the whole seam of the body in this 1/4” tube and build out from there. Use pipe and plate steel for steps I think. Or diamond plate for steps if I can find some cheap enough. These 1/4” 3x5” tubes I got for free so it’s just my time and whatever paint or finishing I choose.
