Guess what Disco 2 part I bought today for £80/$100?

Give up?

2 functioning power fold mirrors with switch, control unit and wire assembly!!!
I don’t know when I’ll find time to install this. Maybe in the winter time when it has cooled down.

The folding mirrors were an option in Japan but some of the UK Disco 2s had them installed also.
Some Disco 2 owners have done a wiring mod to allow for folding the mirrors inward when setting the alarm from the key fob.

I found this parts list for the Warn XD9000i winch. I hope this helps others with the same winch.

Thanks to @Frtpilot post about replacing the air filter canister with a Tecumseh filter #35066 for the V8's positive pressure leak detection system,
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...90/#post668145

My filter I ordered is a Prime Guard PFF21124 filter that is a suitable substitute for the Tecumseh lawn mower engine filter. The replacement filter was almost $5 + free shipping on eBay and was too easy to change out.

The canister is held on by one nut. When you remove it, you can swing it out of the way but be careful of the fragile air hose. The cap to the canister pulls off fairly easy but don’t force it off.
Here’s a pic of the canister opened up and the old filter:

Dirty canister

Cleaned canister with brake cleaner and a rag.

The new filter is shorter than the old filter:

The new filter isn’t sealed at one end and is shorter. I ripped off the end of the old filter to cap off the end of the new filter and added 5-3/4” length x 5/8” diameter of poly foam (1/2" diameter would work too but I already had the pack of 5/8" laying around) to make up for the extra space in the canister.

Just snap the cap back on, install back into place and you are done!
