What is your stance on the project Charlie? Any chance to revitalize and have you revisit the same swap? As stated earlier in the thread, I have been working on the same setup as OP and have been sharing measurements and solutions to the all the things that need to happen. My engine is just getting painted up now, my oil pan has been modified and aside from the adapter plate and mounts, should be a drop in ordeal.
When I get a little further I will categorize my progress in my own thread, like raeuspius intends and ideally inspire people on the fence to join the 300"D"iscovery club.

Really, my only hesitations have been the adapter and the transmission. I have lifted my truck out of the oil pan problem.

How did you account for the extra weight of the new motor? Did you replace the front springs with some heavier ones or did the lift kit you installed take care of it?

I've not had a chance to even touch my project in over a year. Thinking of just scrapping the idea and working on my other projects. I got to the point of gabbing the plate between the r380 and the motor and that's where it stalled. Now, I work all the time, and the few days I do have off don't allow me any free time to continue.
