Just snagged one from Buckhorn Imports on eBay for $32 vs $80 from Atlantic British! (Plus no pic of the sensor on AB)

$32 for a new sensor, that's a real good price. Cool!

the R380s may be different from the autos in terms of cooling, and it may a vestige of the Auto configuration and unnecessary in your caSE.

The oil temp sensors for the R380 are notoriously faulty. They get unplugged a lot! Plug it in and replace the switch- it’s not a forever fix, but you’ll feel better!
