My check list for this weekend :-)
Check ecm (find it first).
Check ignition.
Check Fuel shut off switch.

More, more we need more...LOL

The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) can cause problems like the shuddering going up hill on some of the American vehicles I have owned in the past. You may want to add that to your list.

If it goes bad, it cannot determine your speed and the Disco is limited to 117 MPH or something like that. If VSS, goes out it thinks you are exceeding that set speed limit and starts to shut down the engine. Yours may be flaky?

Worth checking into if nothing else works out for you.

The previous owner may have relocated the ECM into the cab.
