Default Got it running....

Thanks to all the advice and shared knowledge, brought 1997 Disco from pretty dead vehicle to pretty running vehicle... Special Thanks to pinkytoe69 (for the fuel pump), Lincoln @ roverbones.net for couple boxes of parts (look him up, he was very helpful), Savannah Buzz, antichrist, Danny Lee 97 Disco and everyone else for their help...

Rebuilt my passenger-side seat switch four times and it still doesn't work. If there's one thing that makes me want to throw the whole truck in the scrap heap, it's the seat switch design. Amazingly enough, I think we can blame BMW for that part...

I've been through 4 used parts and none of them works completely. I have confirmed that all the functions can work on the seat, I just have yet to see a switch that can control all functions successfully. Makes me wonder if these were chintzy and spastic right off the showroom floor.

Iirc- when I did mine I noticed the bearings did not appear to be quite "round" anymore but there was so much spilled coffee in there that it was all stuck together. Working good now though- need to do the drivers side.

Drove my 98 D1 down the highway at 60 and as fast as I dared on muddy roads after a fresh rain in the dark. Enjoying my 180 - 183 F temp, and the fact that code 1447 has not popped back up since I cleared the throttle body where the hose from the evap system connects. Carb cleaner, plus pushed a Qtip inside far enough, felt like some resistance slowly oozed out of the way. Believe the port was badly obstructed. Cleaned it last weekend, so nice to have no codes for a change.

Got the alignment done, but the rear is off .30, to the right. The right rear is shifted back. It was like that before the lift, thought it was just due to the sagging spring. The tech did get the thrust angle to zero, and my steering wheel is dead center.

Looks like I will need to lift and pull...

That was a Cherokee. I think now it's about halfway between a Cherokee and a Comanche, a Cheromanche.
