I thought it was normally 7 qts, so a larger filter would mean more like 7.5 qts.

Pretty sure 6 is normal. I usually just put around 6 in and then add until it's good on the dipstick

Don't you people have owners manuals???
Engine Sump = 6.3qts
Additional Capacity after new oil filter = .65qts

Lets just call it 7qts.

Just got a 96 SE7 that had only been driven 800 miles in the last two years, so i spent yesterday trying to get two years worth of field mice nesting and oil weeping out of the engine bay, then today i put what is probably the second coat of wax this thing has ever gotten. Then i replaced the belt the plugs the wires as well as all the filters to make and did the seafoam treatment. As I was finishing up all that stuff my new Hella's came in so I slapped those on and wired them up. I feel like I got a lot accomplished today and tomorrow I am going to grease the swivel joints and replace the coupling. Then hopefully I will be done for at least a week.

Need to button up some things, paint the frame mounts, install the a arm Spacer and adjust everything to where it needs to be.

Got the replacement front drive shaft installed!! only $100, since it has been below zero for the last few weeks, I took it in to a repair shop and had it done. They had to cut 2 bolts to get the old one out as the heads were down too far to get a wrench on them. Truck most definitely rides a lot smoother now!

Today it is -22 degrees but there is talk we may get above freezing this week!!

Interesting. Which bolts did they cut? Did they replace with grade 8 fine thread?

Went off roading with some guys from TREC it was a great time. I need to buy new plastic head lamp adjusters as I broke some on both headlamps. (Plastic piece that the metal needle clips into to hold the headlamp in place)
