Its easy, just pop out the middle rubber on the seal.

When you put the middle insert back in, start with both cut ends together, the put all the corners in, then start pushing it in at different sections. If you start and one end and and work your way around, you will end up with too much/too little depending on your technique.

Verdict is in, no cats, MagnaFlow, and a 6" resonator sounds damn good! Quiet at cruising speeds and has a nice smooth bark when you get into the pedal.

I installed the snorkel I got from Ian. Got the airbox all sealed up with silicone.... Maybe they could put a few more holes in that thing, there must have been 6.
Got my drive flange gaskets in the mail today so tomorrow I'll apply LocTite to the bolts and snug everything up back there after my lift wedges install.

Thanks for the tips. I've got the windows out, tomorrow I'm hoping to find time to deal with the rust.

Fish eh, aren't you guys concerned with starving the pinion bearing for oil with that much angle?

My Pinion isn't steep at all in the rear and completely adjustable. Front points straight at the transfer case. Not uncommon on Rover fronts at all. Probably not the most ideal situation but I don't lose sleep over it.

My rear wedges actually roll the spring seat over and point it slightly towards the front of my truck which is favorable with the rear axle pushed back about 2"

My rear arms are adjustable too, just like Ian's. And my truck is on jackstands in my pic so that's not necessarily how it will end up sitting with tires on it on the ground. But there are a fair amount of guys running DC front and rear shafts with the pinion pointed right at the TC.
That said, before I bolt in the passenger side axle/flange I'm going to lift it high and pump gear oil down the axle tube to overfill the diff.

I need to do that. Especially since I ditched axle seals and am running the hubs wet. Couldn't you just jack it up so the oil runs into the DS tube and overfill on the fill plug? Snorkel looks damn good too. You should thank fedex for breaking the plastic piece. It looks much better without.
