I refuse to cave to the PC Police. I had the plate and flags in the rear windows before the big flag flap started and they are not going anywhere unless it is to the rack on my Triumph America to show British, American, and Southern pride in one fell swoop.

Default Feeling accomplished

I rolled down the windows to let the pig air out and tried to get my key out of the tumble. Still no luck on the key, but at least the windows work.....

Hi, I am new to the forum and have a question. We have a 1998 Land Rover Discovery LE with all the bells and whistles inside and out. We have had it about 10 years and I cannot find any info about what the original selling price might have been back in 1998. Does anyone have any idea? Thank you

Did a quick Google search and found this:

LE - $35,000/$31,150
LSE - $38,000/$33,820

I would have thought they cost more.
Maybe thats not accurate.....

Try unplugging the lock solenoid. There is a two wire connector basically under the cluster. I believe the wires are brown and white or orange and white. You need to remove the plastic colum trim. The plug connects towards you as you face the steering wheel.

Luckily , when I got home from work, I tried again to remove the key from the tumbler. I noticed that with I turned it to acc to roll up the windows, I had no power....guess the key was still switched on. Anyways turned it off and the key just slid right out without any effort. And also noticed that the steering lock was working again. 👍

Doesn't make any sense to me , but I am glad the key is out.

Is this a sign of things to come?

I started to tear out the headliner to try to fix the leaks.
Also order a bunch of parts: spark plugs, new plug wires, oil and filter.

I guess I should start a build thread.......maybe call it "Project Pig" or "Operation Dysfunctional Disco"
