So what did you do to your Disco today?
I was a bit surprised by the delay, but I know I chose the cheapest shipping option which cost me about $9 so I'm not too upset.
Glad to hear/know that LR Direct is legit and shipping is not a huge barrier even if it is a little slow for the basic service.

I just ordered a few parts from them which were supposed to be delivered today (shipped Friday) but they didn't provide a decent description of the parts so they were held in customs Sunday eve. I had to call FedEx today and explain what the parts were and what their use was. Not a huge deal, should still get them by Wed I assume.
Replaced the rear output flange seal. It started leaking and spraying gear oil right at about 100K (probably by design!) so I ordered the parts from Rovah Farm and swapped it out. I had to shift the muffler over a bit to clear the transmission brake so I could get it off to reach the flange assembly!
Also replaced the oil pan gasket (second time in ~6 years) and dammit if the factory torque settings didn't squash/split the gasket a bit (again!). Hopefully the hylomar blue will keep it from leaking for a while. Ugh. Next time (because we know there will be a next time), I may go with no gasket as the RAVE makes no mention of it; only the hylosil stuff.

Just got home with Clancy, '97 D1 with 147K on the clock. I bought this mainly for R&D purposes for armor, but will get to wrenching soon enough.
Needs a good cleaning and then a baseline starting place. Brakes, battery and new build battery cables will be the first on the TO DO LIST.

I installed a brand new D2 shaft to replace the used unit I had in the truck. Man....smooth like butter. My driveline vibration is gone. Took it on the highway and 75mph no problem.
Changed my fuel filter. Ordered my Range Rover alternator. Took it out in the desert as the sun was coming up. Good times.

That rear cargo light is useless, so I had put in seven color LEDs. Now I installed an 800 lumen light in the roof wired to the rear cargo light with a switch to shut it off. Then I bump tested it
