Tried to fix high idle...Now cranks but won't start
The Alarm kills fuel pump and starter engagement does it not? And Spark I believe.
Is the alarm light flashing? Horn Blowing?
In his other thread, he talked about the key not releasing and the shifter not shifting unless he put a lot of force on the shifter rod, he may have a screwed up ignition switch assembly as well guys.

Hey I just found this on the forum in a discussion about immobilization and the EKA code:
Make sure the doors, windows and bonnet/hood are closed, get out and lock the car again with the key. (Note: on 1996 and later models, you have to turn the key to the lock position four times for this step if the remote handset was not used to lock the vehicle). Then turn the key the required number of times according to the following sequence. (At each step the side lamps warning light on the dash will light to show it has recognized the input).
I was testing the windows for functionality. The rear driver-side went down a couple inches, and when I tried to close it, nothing. Thus, I have been doing the non-start troubleshooting with a window partially open.
Would this cause a mislock?
If yes, WTF? You cant leave your windows cracked when you lock the car??

They do have windows tied in. Look up Super Lock in the RAVE. Read the entire section on the alarm would be a good idea as well.
I only use the key with my 97. No need to invite problems, enough show up uninvited!

Superlock is a function in D2, they have two motors in each actuator. Motion detection, if sensitive enough, would detect change from window smash, maybe, depends on programmed sensitivity that can be set with Testbook. D2 has window contacts that attach to BCU for window control.

Still no CEL, but it starts fine.
