Default 2001 Discovery 2 Upper intake

Greetings, can someone help me understand how to replace the the two intake inlets on in the upper intake one for the PVC and the other the brake servo line. I ordered the two from Atlantic British both are broken.

PVC appears to have thread to screw in but the other one for the brake servo line I have no idea how to get it out to put the new one. I am rebuilding some things, mew injectors, new valley gasket intake gaskets, water pump, new power packs relocated and cables. Starting to put all of it together fixing the intake now. Need help with this question.

Punch the servo connector out through inside of the intake with a long 3/8 drive extension.

If you already purchased the PVC and it’s plastic don’t install and get a brass one.

1/4 inch treads that are tapered. Make sure you get tapered threads.

can be found at large hardware stores.

3/4 is the ****** side.

Side note, could the plastic connector not sealing cause a P1421 code? The rigid hose on mine broke off at the bulge that holds it in so I just jammed it back in there, seems to be fine, does not pull out. I get an occasional P1412 code for low pressure egr. I have replaced the valve and everything has been cleaned when I did the head gaskets. Should I buy a new rigid hose to get better fitment? It does not appear that it is an airtight connection.

Thanks

You can put a bit of rtv silicone on the hose, shove it in there and let it cure overnight.
