99 Disco II Wont Start
I hope that all you Disco experts out there might have some insight. For the past couple weeks our 99 Disco II has had a starting issue... it seemed to struggle to start. A few days back, we had to have a jump start to get it going. This happened twice, so I replaced the battery & and a damaged negative ground cable. It continued to start for one more day and now it will not turn over at all. Today I completely replaced the starter to no avail.
I did the usual tests, getting correct amount of voltage going to starter, battery is good, positive ground cable seems good. All connections seem to check out. When key is turned, lights, radio, etc come on. It makes a faint click sound, but nothing happens.
I have downloaded the RAVE manual, and plan on reviewing it... but if anyone has experienced this scenario... any troubleshooting advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am experienced in working on vehicles, but the Disco II has stumped me on more than one occasion
Thanks for any help in advance!

swap the starter relay. if it works then its the relay. if it doesn't jump the circuit. If it doesn't start its the power wire going to the starter.
if it does then its the xyz switch on the transmission. it sends a signal to the bcu to ground the relay.

I am having the same problem with my 2001 Disco II. Performed the same troubleshooting and to no avail it would not start this morning. Now is the starter relay in the fuse box under the hood or should I be looking somewhere else.
