I think the ones I got were generic. Maybe not, but I got whatever was cheapest.

100% STI Plug Wires, NGK Plugs, and Standard Motor Products (SMP) Coils UF545.
The last set of SMP coils I installed ran no issues for 2 years, sold the truck to a friend and he put another 1.5 plus years on them (he still owns the truck). What can I tell ya, the coils and the other parts listed above work well.

Rockauto sells the coil SET for about $43.00 but you can get them at any local auto parts store.

Every vehicle I have always gets 8mm, a good 8mm.

There is a core to a spark plug wire. You can have a 8mm that doesn't make a difference and sometimes you can have a 7mm that feels better.

What does this mean?

What it means, the center, the core, could be made from cheap material, or it isn't really 8mm. A good 7mm can flow better than a weaker 8mm. The 8mm might look fatter due to more outer material, but the center could be the same as the 7mm, or be 8mm but cheap material, thus making more resistance.

I'm with a couple others...coil pack, wires.

Changed coils and wires today. Not that bad of a job. Engine is running smooth. Problem is I broke the freaking brittle *** coolant hose to the throttle body. And broke the Nipple off reservoir trying to replace it. Going to yard tomorrow. They have 3 discos right next to work!

Good news -- I suspected bad coils. The boneyard coolant pipes will probably be brittle and ready to break so get those new. I've seen good used reservoirs so you should be okay there. Now's a good time to replace the throttle body heater plate and gasket.

You can replace the plastic pipes with 5/16" heater hose. It eliminates those short connector hoses & a couple of clamps.
