The AutoZone in house crank sensor is just a Bosch unit in an AutoZone (duralast?) box. That's exactly what you'd want in the truck.

Is the check engine light on? It is possible that its your fuse box or at least one of your relays. Go in your fuse box and replace the relay that's got an engine symbol with a lightning arrow through it. You can just swipe the one from your AC to test it. Do the same for the relay with the same symbol in your in cab fuse box. Could be either of those.

Fair enough Alex. But I have watched people replace the same part with autozone parts time and time again and get the exact same problem. And replace it once with the factory item and never have the problem ever again.

Okay we got a obd2 scanner on it this morning and it shows two different codes for the anti-theft So the anti theft system is keeping it from starting is there a way around this

the only way around, is to resolve the problem. Not trying to be smart ***, From what I understand you cannot disable anti-theft, otherwise someone could disable and steal your vehicle.
What exactly are the codes it is showing

Do you have a working factory remote for the rover? I'm guessing no? Seems like your alarm is being triggered and the system is not satisfied that it's not being stolen.

There is a thread on here about an eBay seller who sells remotes and loans you the tool to code to your vehicle. Or if you are near so cal I could do it.

Good luck

The factory remote works just fine with the original ECU and BC you installed It is showing codes p 1668 p 1672. It shows the exact same code no matter which ECU and BCU is installed So I'm not sure what's going on We went ahead and put the original ECU and BC you back in considering The one we bought made no difference at all From what research I did That P 1668 Is some kind of anti theft code. Also I've read a few guys with similar issues the inside cabin fuse block Was the cause?

Also I wanted to mention as a strange side note Even with the original ECU and BC you installed Or the one we purchased If you push the inertia switch under the hood the four ways come on And flash like the alarm is set is that a normal thing
