No problem getting either side out on an 04 with SAI just a few creative turns

Took a few hours, but after losing one stud extractor, one drill bit, and a watch spring bar, I ended up drilling through.

Lessons learned.
  • If the stud extractor does not turn, do not force it. Drilling out a broken stud extractor from a broken stud requires special hard metal drill bits ($5 at Home Depot) and lots of force.
  • Go with Magnaflow if you don't want to remove center supports. Even then, fitting the split pipe is tricky. The car sounds super nice now!
However, I will still proceed with manifold replacement. I figured I'll do one bolt at a time (it is my daily, so I can't have the car taken apart for long). After all new bolts are in, I'll wait a bit and put a new manifold.

Thank you for the help!
