Default Flashing brake light on the dash?????

I have a 2000 Disco II with about 72,000 miles on it. While driving today the e-brake light started flashing. Have a 4 rotors and pads changed over a year ago. Could it need more brake fluid and if so, what type of fluid it should I use or could it be something else such as E-Brake cable or bad floater switch in the master cylinder and if its one of these am I looking at a lot of money to fix it? Can anyone help with this? Any prompt replies would be welcomed.

Grab the handle and give it a pull up and then release it maybe just a stuck switch..

DOT 4 brake fluid. Check fluid level. Don't worry about prices until you determine if fluid is OK. Hand brake or brake fluid float make light come on, so wiggle handle and check fluid level. If you are missing fluid frequently, it is leaking somewhere, and that usually is the calipers....

If you don't have an owners manual, you can download that and the full set of factory tech manuals, called the RAVE, at link below.

If fluid is low, does that mean you have not checked that fluid recently? How about your other fluids? Once a week is all it takes, beats getting stranded, blowing a head gasket, etc.
