Has that radiator/coolant leak issue been addressed. If not it should be taken seriously. After reading and viewing photo I replied and have since wised up a bit after working with mine more each day. The accumulation of the small normally undetected leaks/seeps is probably a leading to many OH issues on our aging vehicles.

Mine had a similar less noticeable evidence of a leak in same area. Removed the fan/clutch and lower shroud then cleaned up the area to see what was going on. Found there was coolant escaping out of screw hole, it was obvious once engine running without shroud in place. Discarded existing screw and replaced with appropriate sized and shorter(1/2" length) machine screw threaded fastener and washer, wrapped threads with silicone tape for sealing. Ran it and bled system for a couple of days. System became so tight I found another couple of leaks/seeps elsewhere to deal with. Have since removed shroud again, no evidence of leak but it was apparent coolant was leaking from the hole a few minutes after screw removed. Decided a more permanent leak repair may be in order Will update later if my simple non-jerry-rig repair sans a radiator change endures.

I fixed my screw hole leak that same way and it lasted over a year. When my front cover started leaking it seemed like a good time to get it all fixed the right way.

That works but there is nothing like having it fixed right. You'll need a new radiator to fix it which is not a bad thing at the age of these vehicles.

I've lost no coolant at all since having the above repairs done in Oct.

Hi Number9!
Unfortunately, no yet.
I'm on the market for a new one. Searching here, again there is a lot of controversy regarding OEM and aftermarket.
Any particular source that anybody will recommend?

Thanks for the correction.

Now for an edit as I may have written too soon and still thankful. Never meant to be a "smart ***" as suggested and was merely relaying information thought to be correct. Term with a negative connotation had recently been a topic of conversation among folks I know. We did some research and came to the conclusion that jerry-rigged was the socially correct term to use for our application. We didn't find the true origins of jury-rigged so learning that today was new and enlightening to me.

Took the recommendation to "google it" and then later did it again including both terms, jerry/jury-rigged in a search.
From jerry-built/jury-rigged :
Although their etymologies are obscure and their meanings overlap, these are two distinct expressions. Something poorly built is “jerry-built.” Something rigged up temporarily in a makeshift manner with materials at hand, often in an ingenious manner, is “jury-rigged.” “Jerry-built” always has a negative connotation, whereas one can be impressed by the cleverness of a jury-rigged solution. Many people cross-pollinate these two expressions and mistakenly say “jerry-rigged” or “jury-built.”

well,
got the brass screw in the mail, but didn't have the chance to work on it yet.
also have the "right hose" to replace and working on it.
Please excuse the multiple post for the pictures, but while working I'm taking the pictures with the phone and for some unknown reason I can only upload 1 pic at the time.
