K&N Filter Guys

One of the K&N founders moved here to Tulsa. The old shop is about 10 minutes from me. I still use paper filters lol.
The only thing I use oiled filters on is my dirt bikes because they get dirty every single time I ride them. Its much cheaper to run a cleanable filter.
On a vehicle that needs to be reliable, makes less than 300hp, and only needs a filter but once a year, paper is the way to go.

I will say I agree most vehicles (our discos definitely included) a paper filter is all you need. Only reason I swapped to K&N is because it's so easy to fit a pod filter. When you've got it apart as much as I did, and you're changing setups, its just simple. Plus, I've got no real way to use the factory box with my custom snorkel at this point.

Actually, they do sell the cleaner only on Amazon, and it's a bigger container, been using this on my 7 cars filters for over a year

Couple of notes...
.................................................. .................................................. ................................................
Does K&N give you more HP, well yes and it has been validated multiple times using dynos by various companies otherwise K&N could not make that claim.
However...the HP gains are at mostly 2 to 3 hp for a stock engine that the butt dyno would not notice.
For a more tuned engine that requires the additional air flow, I have seen dyno reports from actual people I know that showed about a 10 hp increase with cone K&N over stock panel filter.
