damn. If you go to autozone they will rent you a coolant pressure tester. That way you could investigate the drip without the engine running. Making it easier to inspect and not burn yourself.

Thanks Collie, did it before but couldn’t build enough pressure with head gasket and freeze plug leaking.

Rented the pressure tester and found 2 leaks. One is the hard pipe that goes into the upper intake. I used an o-ring that I had on hand, it was thinner than the original. It didn't work, so now I have more work to do.

Is there a PN for that O ring? I don't have the original to match it up to. Someone before me had sealed it up with gasket maker.

I did get a few drops from the throttle body. It was minor, so I will do that down the road.

I need to put the knock sensor back on, then may try and start it. I didn't think that would make a difference the last time I tried.

Rovers North will have the o ring, and do the Throttle body with a Genuine Kit. The Britpart gasket is janky and peels the threadlocker off the threads.

When that system is hot and under pressure, that drip will be a spray faster than you can say I just should have done that when I had the damn thing off.

Ha Ha, thanks for the advice. Neighbor stopped by while I was working on it, said " good thing about a British vehicle, you will always be working on it."

Need help with a leak was appropriate for this thread- head gasket, freeze plug, throttle body. The fourth was my fault.

Short work day tomorrow, so hope to try and start it. Knock sensor didn't get put on.
