Default Silicone intake tube issue

We recently were notified that a customers vehicle that was equipped with a snorkel under extreme load had his intake tube collapse.

We did in depth testing before production, but it seems there are some instances where the tube is not structurally stiff enough.

Currently structural hoops are being made to insert inside of the tube, 2x per unit. Once they are available we will be sending a set to all of the people who have purchased the intake tube.

I will keep the forum updated on the progress.

Thank you.

Awesome to see a company stand behind it's product like that. Knowing you I'd expect nothing less, but still very refreshing.

Thank you Alex. It’s the least we can do for the Land Rover enthusiasts that support us.

I hate to hear that someone had an issue with it. Happy to see you being honest and upfront about it.

I’ve got the intake tube kit on my 99 D2 with an ARB copycat Aussie snorkel and I’ve tested it like crazy. I went WOT while watching my new intake tube and it wiggled a little, but never sucked in or caused any restrictions.

If it’s a Mantec snorkel it might have a different air flow, but if anyone is gonna make it right Abran is the man!
