Our Rovers do not have PCV valve, just the oil separator. It is considered closed, because both valve covers are getting vacuum, and I assume the ECM takes that into account in the fuel trim. Will investigate further.
The separators themselves I do not. I've heard (but don't recall where) that there is an alternative Fram (I think) part number that will work and, if I'm remembering correctly, actually fits on the outside of the valve cover for easier future replacement.

Just leave the plastic piece out, & buy a fram FV237 PCV valve for $3-4, or a similar purelator part, & connect between existing metal tube & intake connection using same hose that you have (or a new one) ,, I did this a while back, after reading it in a tread, it's a very good mod, new pcv valve actually has a valve inside, so it won't get clogged easily, & cleaning it if necessary is very easy.
I found the Fram for about 4 dollars. It looks like this so you have to put it inline. Bay bling.
Interestingly, in that thread I learned that the 03/04 valve covers are different in regard to the oil separator setup. I didn't know that...
Here is the real thing. 6 bucks. For a piece of plastic.
