Default Steering bark/groan noise

I've done pump, intermediate steering shaft, power steering box, and High Pressure hose recently.

When at a stand still, and turning right not left, I get an intermittent groan or bark.

I have double checked torque of the shaft, box, etc. The

I am thinking it could be the belt, air in system, but wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience, and what it turned out to be.

Mine sometimes groans when I'm taking the first turn out of the driveway when the truck's cold. I've learned to live with it. It's just the Rover letting me know it's grumpy at being woken up.

Hi Collie, I had exactly the same noise, an occasional groan at low speeds in the summer, I never did discover what caused the noise but it has since disappeared. I reckoned something to do with the rack or PAS pump with possible air in the oil.

My only other idea it could be either the upper or lower ball joints, a real PITA job.
