Terrafirma bumper installation has me stumped
I guess you could say that. We honestly have never had these issues installing their bumpers. I am not saying that because we are their largest USA distributor and we are defending their brand, I am stating it from an enthusiasts standpoint who truly has not had an issue with their bumpers. Have we had problems with other items from them? Yes, but everything that is mass-produced will often have a glitched product here and there. I wish there was a rhyme or reason to it. Just like a 3" OME kit will make a stock D2 sit 3.5" and another sit just a little over 2". When it comes to customizing trucks 12 years and older, we will always be fighting the uphill battle Im sure.
Lucky 8 blamed the problems on the fact that my old bumper was damaged in an accident and that the problems were because the frame was "tweaked" (BULL****).
The vitriol shown in Jason's reply to me was uncalled for, bringing into the discussion the record of my order. The way that played out was COMPLETELY IRRELEVENT to whether or not the bumper fit properly.
The only reason for that response was to demean and diminish me. Very professional (tongue-in-cheek). Reminds me of what we are seeing from The Donald this week. Don't address the problem, insult the other party instead.
Lucky 8 gets accolades on this forum for great customer service, for its involvement in the Rover community and for great prices. I understand that the positive reputation has been earned. It's a shame the facts in this matter do not support the first item on that list. I am a 57-year old executive who still likes to turn a wrench, not some twenty-something nutjob to be blown off by blaming the problem on me or my truck.
The problems with the bumper last summer bothered me far, far less than Lucky 8's refusal to consider that the product was defective.

I did a few test fits, found the problem quickly and modified it by cutting the lower flat parts off. Then it was just bolting it on and leveling it.
I have ordered from lucky8 via EBay and I was happy with the quick handling and shipment of my order. Now the $1400.00 order with the skid, bumper, and steering rods took nearly a month to show up, zero emails, or a tracking #. Then I didn't even get the TF009.... I got the TF009A instead. When I contacted them about it I waited 3 days, heard nothing, so I just made a PayPal dispute about it.
I am happy with Lucky8 and their sponsoring this great LR Forum with great deals/offers, but please send me my darn TF recovery shackles, and work on doing a better job on handling orders more professionally.
I understand no one is perfect, stuff goes on back order, but the customer is always the #1 concern and keeping them in the loop on their order status is just standard practice.
I have to agree with most of what is said here. I love L8, I think they offer a much needed service and I use them as well as recommend them quite regularly. In my personal interactions, I've never had anything but a perfectly pleasant interaction, however I have seen a few comment responses here on the forums (for example, the small spat between Drow and Erik a while back) that are... less than professional. I personally overlook these little things because they've always taken care of me and therefore I will continue to use them.
However, coming from someone who has spent their entire life in and around small businesses with a decent amount of experience in the running side of things, a little more professionalism would go a long way to expanding their business. More often than not, biting the bullet and paying for return shipping on a bumper and shipping another out to at least see if it would fit will earn you a customer for a long time. Customer service is everything. That's why I still use Amazon so often, even if it costs me a couple dollars more sometimes, because I have never had a lick of trouble getting a refund for a broken item, or getting them to pay return shipping on an item that came in to slowly so I didn't need it, or anything.
But as I said, I still very much like Lucky 8 and have never personally had anything but a positive experience with them so I will continue to use them regularly.

We apologize for the delayed response. Justin was in the UK on business and our warehouse/shipping guy had a death in the family, so I was the only one left here to cover everything.
I'm sorry you feel that way. If you had an unemployed troll commenting on everything you posted, always recommending people to buy it elsewhere on your posts, trying to take money out of your pocket for no other reason than the fact that he doesn't like you trying to sell stuff here, then I'm sure you would only be able to take so much before you eventually bit back. I have a family to feed, and his BS has exceeded my limits and now it is personal.
unemployed and Troll
incorrect on both counts and very unprofessional as stated earlier
taking money out of your pockets NO, keeping it in members pockets is my goal
now you can make up another story to get me banded, like the last time

You sir, are by every definition of the word a troll. 90% of my posts are always followed up by you trying to direct someone to a different vendor. Or you trying to give them conflicting advice, contrary to what I said.
Directing people to links that charge more isn't saving them money.
Please, state for everybody why you feel the need to do this? What did I ever do to you?
