I understand TC as transfer case and the high/low shift.

1. What is HDC. Not familar with that term.

2. Never had such a light, just the Diff Lock liht when it engaged.

Please explain.

 

I believe you'll get an obnoxious buzzer/chime if you put it in gear with the transfer case in neutral because of the switch.

so is that what yours does? I couldn't get a continuity reading across it no matter if the plunger on it was in or out. It probably went bad just like the CDL switch did. If that is the case, it has not worked the entire time I've had it.

 

I finally came across this when I was perusing the Component Location listings recently:

X175 Transfer Box Position Switch and the associated connector is C368

I do not yet know its functionality or the effect of having it physically installed but not electrically functional.

The quest for specific knowledge continues. Any and all input/comments appreciated.
