I replaced the 70mm and 80mm idler pulley's and the tensioner pulley.

I went with a Gates tensioner pulley (Part#36102). It is a heavy metal pulley as opposed to the plastic Dayco pulley that was on there. I'm not sure if that plastic pulley is stock or if the PO replaced it at some point, either way the new pulley is wayyy more HD then the old one. I'm glad I decided to go ahead and change all 3 of these as all of them were starting to look rough and that plastic one looked like it was gonna go flying at any moment. Better safe then sorry.

These 3 pulley along with the new power steering pump and now my engine seems so quite and smooth.

Edit:
Fed-ex made a late drop and run tonight. No door bell or knock, just a beat to hell package. After taking some pictures for insurance reasons I opened it up to find my new fan clutch still in good shape.

New fan clutch finally checked off the to-do list.

New tires. They aren't too bad. I've had heard a lot of complaints about 285/75R16 and they are certainly heavier than the 265/75R16 ATs I previously had, and the car is a bit more sluggish, but I have new gears on the way so that should be remedied in short.

Addition: it looks like it rubs, but it fits just fine. I'm more happy about the fit now than I was a few days ago.

Put in a Gates Belt Tensioner and Lower Idler Pulley OEM. She's running very smooth. The stealership only charged me $31 for the pulley so I was very happy with that.

Ordered some new heat insulation for under the hood. All in for $52 from JC Whitney. includes aluminum tape and adhesive. If I am being honest one big reason to do it is so that it reflects light down when I am working on it.

Finally installed my 16" wheels/Wildpeak AT tires. Pics here:

And knocked a couple pounds of rust off the frame (wonder if I'll get better MPGs) & treated it. Pics here:

I got a couple things off the to-do list today:

1) I installed a Genuine Grey 180 thermostat. Way better than the Motorad. $80 well spent. I wrote a review if you are interested:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...rmostat-66711/

2) Installed new motor mounts. What a difference. I can't even tell the engine is running when inside the truck now. A tapping noise I had has disappeared and the truck runs and sounds so smooth now it's ridiculous.

Both mounts were in bad shape. The scary thing is that they didn't look near this bad while inspecting them. I guess all the weight from the engine helped compress and hide the crack running all the way around. If you are over 150K miles then you might want to look into doing this. $85 well spent.

3) I almost got to install my new HD steering rods but one of the tie rod ends came damaged. I wrote Justin at lucky8 an email and attached some pictures of the damage. I hope he will make things right and rush me out a new tie rod end or drag link to get me back on the road. They really should remove the tie rod ends and ship them separate or package their products better. They just came in a box with one piece of paper wrapped around each end. COME ON!!!
Fed-ex is no better. I walked to the back of his van to meet him and all the boxes were just piled in there. No shelves, No nice neat stack or nothing, just a pile of about 100-200 boxes. I'm not going to use them any more if I can help it and have a 2nd option.

4) new TF steering damper also came in the mail today but it too is on hold until ^above^ gets sorted out.

Just an FYI those things come packaged to him that way. I'm sure he will make things right. Always has for me.
