Cheers! It's weird to finally have her in my garage as I've owned her for 8 months but haven't seen her for the last 6 as she made her way from the Lake District to Southampton, then Tacoma, WA and now my house.

First order of business is putting the 200TDI back in it to get it running again, seatbelts in the 2nd row and upgrade the drums to discs so that it stops.

Just ordered a new front driveshaft from lucky8 and hoping my soft cel codes are from a loose airbox

 

I was already jealous of your fleet. This is just unfair now!

 

Installed early D2 fan and Hayden clutch as new replacements for 04 fan assembly as preventative mx. No coolant temp changes noted as expected.

Yesterday found a puddle of brake fluid on ground beneath master cylinder. It was our first night close to freezing and D2 hadn't be cranked the previous day contributing to known seep to begin dripping. Source bottom of reservoir and quick search revealed seals/parts needed etc. A member had mentioned in one thread using a cable-tie to press reservoir down upon seals as a temp fix. Did that, topped off, cleaned and leak check good on temp repair.

You can be jealous of all the maintenance that I'm looking at then!
I only have two of the four Rovers running. My main D2 needs Headgaskets, my '03 needs a new engine, RRC needs calipers and a full exhaust system and the 109 got pretty beat up on its journey over here. Optimistically, I'm about a month away from being able to daily drive it.

 

First change since purchase in mid November and 1,200+ of my miles. Prior to drain added Sea Foam to oil and drove per their recommendations. Used what was available in my lube cabinet for refill plus newly acquired filter. Snake oil was just there and thought why not, obviously don't expect any benefits and will monitor for possible adversities.

Followed procedure in manual waiting to renew filter until after crankcase drained/refilled and partially filling manly filter with nearly a full qt of oil. Upon start up oil light extinguished within a second or two. Leak check good after several minutes of run time and topped off oil to full mark.

The awe of a quiet engine after changing the oil is a wonderful thing.

I like my romanticized version where everything runs perfectly without too much maintenance hassle

 

my fun job for this weekend is to remove the Headliner from the 109 to try and dry everything out. It soaked water up like a sponge while sitting so long.
