Ultimately the roof needs to be done. Not anxious to drop headliner, disconnect rear AC duct... sand, prime & coat roof with Monstaliner. But eventually will do it as the roof is an eyesore!
In the meantime... I bought Rustoleum bedliner spray & a quart of brush on. I had the texture sponge already. Sprayed the light guards, front grill, sliders and ladder. Treated the quart to the door handles, pillars, rear door jamb, top door jambs (surface rust at top welds on the pillar to roof in between doors on both sides), rear bumper, door mirrors, front LED 9" light brackets (were rusting), rear license shroud, windshield cowl & door arches.
Depending on how it holds up with the UV rays I may recoat with Monstaliner when I do the roof. It came out better than expected. The spray is great cosmetically and lasted good previously but I wanted to go thicker on the traffic areas using the brush on. It took pretty much the part of a day due to originally spraying and taping at first only to later go over with brush on applications.
When you get to the head liner, putting a radiant barrier between it and the roof is definately worth doing. About $25 for a roll of Reflectix.
I'm going to put it under the carpet too.

I put it in my attic and on my garage doors this year.
Wow, what a difference!
Then I read here where guys were putting it above their headliners, which is a great idea!
I'm using my phone, but I'll try to post a link.

I hope I never have to use this thing, it looks sketchy as f***. I also bought the offroad-base and the lift-mate. I can see it being useful to lift the wheel up and put a maxtrax under it. I don't think there are any good spots to lift from on the frame/bumpers
Got new BFG K02 265 60 R18 on the rims that came with the vehicle. Would have loved 16's but too much money for this project and got a deal on the 18's from driver of a truck that didn't like them? Full warranty applied and less than 100km on them with 20%off.
Yesterday, I changed out the front driveshaft, amazed at the stiffness of the new part vs the one I took off.
Next up, failed Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 DS. Not sure why, had been fiddling with connectors while under the console. Checked connection, seems good. Ordered new one anyway.
Have the rear ladder on its way as well. Looking forward to that.
