What did you do with your DII today?

Your sig had me DYING! Lol.
Anyways boys, here's what we did today.
Replaced the oil filler neck, wasn't too hard to get off as it came off by hand. Had to scotch-brite and acetone the rubber that was stuck to the valve cover from the old o-ring. Rubber gunk getting stuck to shiz seems to be a common thing on this one unfortunately.
Ran it like this for almost a week. (don't ask)
And the new one.
Got around to cleaning the IACV since the car was having a rough cold start idle, we'll see how he does tomorrow. Also, did this so I didn't have to buy windshield wipers online. No shaving required.
(This one is bent because it's actually the old refill, I just put it on the new blade for demonstration purposes)
Voila! New refill on the old blade still works great.
I'm willing to wager you wouldn't even have to take off the back tire to change out the refills, which is neat.

The dreaded..."the rovers dead"...phone call.
My wife calls me at work just before I left for home, says the rover is dead...short pause while my mind swears silently in my head as I picture clouds of smoke billowing from the engine compartment, finally I ask, "where are you?" "At home." Well, that's a plus. Then she says..."yeah, the domelight won't even come on."
My brain does a half gainer with a back flip for joy...hearing that last tid-bit of information.
I'm assuming she didn't get the door completely closed and the domelight was on all night...or at least until the battery went dead. No confessions on her part, but who cares....at least it wasn't what I originally suspected.
Rovers on the charger, starts and charges...so, all is well that ends well.
Brian.
