Finished the lift on my Land Rover, adding the rear spacers underneath the rear air springs. Thereafter, had Nitto Terra Grappler 2's installed - 265/65R18's. Lucky8 was out of Terraforma spacers, so they sourced these nice Britpart 40mm spacers - high quality and the rig sits just about right between the rear and the front. Nice thing with keeping the air springs is I can get an extra 2" of lift in the rear at the push of a button.
I did a compression test to diagnose low power going up grades (difficult to maintain 50-55 mph up 8% grades, like east on I-8 out of SD). Passed with flying colors... 180 psi on all cylinders. Next step I think will be to finish the transfer case re-gearing and re-evaluate.
Bit of oil on the spark plugs. Is it possible to have rings that leak so bad that I'm unknowingly doing a wet compression test? Leading to increased psi numbers. Last trip I checked I'm burning a quart over 200 miles (includes 5 hours of slow offroading). I'm not leaking oil, compression test is solid, so where's the oil going??
Remote starter switches are pretty neat! No need to disable the fuel system, and it lets you watch the compression needle on each stroke.
How do these plugs look?

Plugs look a little worse for wear. What kind of gas do you run? Any additives?
Your spark plugs also might be too hot. I'm not the best at reading plugs, but that would be my guess if you're using a quality gasoline. Might try a cooler heat range.

Could be valve guide seals? I've seen that kind of oil usage,
even worse, from 1 or 2 bad seals. -had good compression too. That plug looks like classic oil burning.

Wet oil on plugs is often a failed head gasket, but your plugs have ceramic particles as well which is a sign of either overheated spark plugs (too hot) or major detonation.

1100 mile road trip in Randy. Gas mileage so high i'm not posting it because no Rover owner would believe it (suffice to say more than 300 miles between gas stations).
Low cruising temp was 183F. High idle temp was 189F.
Spotify tunes are nice. Backup camera means i can see even when bags are stacked high in rear. GPS on double din screen was ideal.
Freakin love the Crower cam! Sweet power and idle.
AC blower is weak, though. Old. Nice having the Elm327 for realtime engine data.
No false alarms for the new automatic fire extinguisher for the engine bay, thankfully.
Used up a bottle of power steering fluid though...

Ran tanks of 91 octane fuel and other tanks of 89 octane gasoline during this road trip.
I expected this to be a shake down cruise, but nothing really shook out. Temps were fine.
I did get the temp up to 198F when I ran the A/C and cruised at 80mph, but she stayed at or below 189F cruising at 75 mph.
Best fuel mileage was at night with the A/C off (16.8 MPG!) running 89 octane (75 mph cruise).
Worst fuel mileage was 15.1 mpg running 91 octane with A/C on during the day.
I'm happy with this rebuild.
Now my 16 year old daughter gets this truck.

Scripps Ranch area. Funny, I drove out I-8 East today out to the Descanso Park n Ride lot. No problem pulling 70 mph with the new bigger tires.
Heading out to Moab, Utah (White Rim Trail/Canyonlands) in a few weeks then over to Flagstaff for the Overland Expo. Looking forward to getting some dirt on the new tires and suspension!
