I think I posted this on here before but couple of years ago I got stopped by Smyrna, Georgia police for brake lights not working on the rear bumper. I told the police officer they were fog lights and showed them that they did in fact work.
He then asked why the hell would Toyota install fog lights. I just laughed and said "I have no idea, Sir." and he let me go.

Yep I get people confusing LR’s with Land Cruisers all the time. To me they’re nothing alike lol.

Saw a silver Disco heading east on the 78 in Anza Borrego on Saturday. Looked like a sweet truck - is the owner on here?

I ask because I see, at best, 1 disco every couple months around San Diego, mostly all stock.

Not just today........but working my way through service updates over the last 3 weeks:
  • Antifreeze changed
  • Engine Oil and filter changed
  • Cabin filter
  • Differentials gear oil
  • Transfer case oil
  • Serpentine Belt....
  • GBR front driveshaft as mine committed suicide at very low speed (yay) while my wife was driving (oops)
  • New U joint and donut on rear drive shaft
  • Stripped and painted the headliner a nice Espresso color.
  • GROM Bluetooth
  • and a new windshield and A-pillar covers
Next up.....transmission service, then plugs and wires.

Installed a Tuff Rok D2 lockable cubby insert in my 99 D2 this evening. I’ll do a review and make it a sticky, but very high quality, the lock is super simple to set & fit/finish is excellent.

It's the diesel edition also, so that makes it even more super rare...lol.

This was my last trip north before pulling engine for refreshing. Ever since l drowned it a couple years ago it's been rattley, a few lifters collape on idle...but pump up once you are off idle. Anyhow, stop to look at a Dll sitting in a guys yard on the way home, 03. He said, yeah it runs great...but needs a fuel pump at the moment...it's got the 4.0 in it. I replied...should have a 4.6. He says yeah, that's right 4.6. My rover is running a few feet away...he says...you must have the diesel engine. I'm like...no, it just sounds like one...lol.

But, the old girl got us north and back without issue, 500 miles round trip. And we (grandson and l) put a pretty good whooping on her.

Brian.
