Been a thirsty trip for the rover.

If we could ten minutes of sun, these colors would pop.

Camp last night.

Nice having a real cook along.

Still rovering around..."knock on wood"...which we have plenty of.

Brian.

New Terrafirma shocks and springs - now the wife really struggles to get in.

I don't know what I was thinking but I told my Bro-In-Law I could help him find a cheap Disco and I'd help him get it on the road. Transmission install (we knew about that when he bought it) and now we're chasing down low oil pressure. Ugh.

I'm just hoping the premium ($3.99 gal.) is better than their coffee.

The staff at the event were great, food, sponsors, and the trails were also awesome. I got there early on Friday morning and helped the staff setup for the event & then we went out to scout the trails. Ended up doing some level 3, 4, and one 5 trail. The ratings really didn’t mean anything as the rain, and wear n tear on some trails could turn a 2 into a 5, or a 5 into a 3, it just depended on the terrain.

I took my Kalahari which is actually my lowest sitting D2, but it did fantastic! People can make fun of a D2 all they want, but with HDC, CDL, and the manual mode for the transmission in Low Range it’ll go anywhere. I knew my D2’s Jlo butt was going to be my weak spot so I babied it down some drop off’s. I ended up loosing both rear lower plastic trim pieces & it wasn’t due to smashing them! One cracked from sitting to close to the rear metal bumper, and one just broke from old age and vibration. I’m going to just make a line from under the rear fender flare and cut all the way back (including the side of the bumper).

Truly a great time & I’ll post all the action shots once their posted up on their event page.
oh I was the black d2 with the COTA sticker. We were talking about that piece breaking off. I didn’t know that was you!

I thoroughly cleaned all three of my windshield wiper blades with a paper towel and white vinegar.

Never even thought of the white vinegar solution. I will try it. However, I did reline my headlights today.
