02 D2 at my local yard is like 2 days from scrap pile heaven. I grabbed the 130AMP Bosch Alternator off of it, coolant temp sensor, and a few misc bits n pieces for a grand total of 29.00. Guy was so concerned about me getting my core money back. It’s like 2.59 for the core lol, I’ll keep it for a more $$ core thank ya!
I wanted the AB replacement front drive shaft off of it, but she’s in like 1ft deep mud.

Pulled the passenger side exhaust manifold ro repair a broken stud, muffler shop broke it when they went to replace the Y pipe gasket. No issue there this stuff happens it is the one you can not get at from underneath. They attempted some high temp RTV and a good tighten to quiet it down - zero luck she sounded like an old john deere.
The manifold bolts were very easy to remove, little tricky getting it out with removing the SAI tubes, but it can be done. The picture below is what I discovered my disco has always had a bit of any exhaust leak now I know why, 20 minute job to clean up that welding mess and someone could not be bothered.
With luck she will backup and running by Weds next week, just waiting on the new gaskets , bolts and stud. I figure a good 4 hours of cursing to get the stud remains out and clean up the surfaces.

Brakes!
Changed front rotors and pads. Front passenger started grinding without warning. Pad had nothing left on it. I should have kept an eye on them better. In true rookie fashion, I stripped the rotor screw and had to drill it out. Still saved myself around $300 in labor. Not a bad Saturday.
