I warned the welder beforehand about it, and this is what I got. Also possible concerning is the clearance between the frame mount and radius arm bracket. Got about 4". edit: measured: 3 3/8"
Dammit I hope I don't have to move the frame mount

Yeah, that's tight on articulation. You might be able to just trim the radius arm mount some. Could end up needing a spacer under the bump stop on that side. It would suck, but a lot easier than moving that mount.
Today I worked on my Kalahari, she had some issues pop up after the 2018 Hill Country Rover Rally that needed to be addressed. First was the O2 sensor business after the 8sec flash fire under my hood (rear of bank 1 between the engine/firewall) due to some different cleaner I used under the hood. It made all sorts of things go off from HDC/TC faults, TPS faults, and Bank 1 Sensor 1 showing nada zip nothing. The HDC/TC faults cleared and never came back along with the TPS sensor faults, but the 02 sensor would constantly trip the CEL, and it was running like crap. I fully inspected the wiring harness back there and I saw zero damage.
I let it sit probably 3 months, tags expired, and I was busy with life, work, and the kids. Well last week she looked so sad sitting there covered in pollen and it made me feel bad. I put my battery charger on it, got the battery up to 100%, and cranked it up to move it so I could wash it. It started up and ran excellent!!! I was like it'll trip the CEL soon, and nothing.. I let it sit for probably 30min idling while I washed it. I then took it into town for some fuel, and did a quick drive on the freeway, No CEL's at all for the O2 sensor and it's running excellent.
Yesterday I got it inspected (two dudes were drooling all over it & whenever that happens I say yep she's 1 of 150 ever produced and love to see their faces after that), got new tags and once again I drove it all over the place and no CEL's.
Today I decided to upgrade the old gal. At the 2018 Hill Country Rover Rally I needed a little more ground clearance on some of the more technical trails. I did perfectly fine, but as we all know D2's have big (_!_)'s. I've had a set of 1inch Aluminum spacers to go under the lower coil mounts sitting on a shelf and with it being such a beautiful day I decided to install them. Install was a breeze since I'd already bought the proper length bolts earlier in the week. I then decided to also swap out the OEM drive shaft (previous owner had just bought one from the LR Dealership when I bought it) with the GBR looking aftermarket one I scored off a wrecked D2 for 25.00 (still looks brand new). Slapped that on and I did a few more misc small things to it, but overall she's good to go minus the front tie rods (the OEM ones took a pounding down several rocky trails/creek beds). I have a TF aftermarket front unit, but after Harvey a lot of stuff got moved and I've yet to find it.
I also slapped on the OEM rims/tires off my 99 D2 (18inch Hurricanes & BFG 275/65R18's) so I can save the Kumho M/T's from just wearing out on the highway. That way when 2019 Hill Country Rover Rally comes up I'll still have a ton of tread on those Kumho's.
