The truck in that video needs a new steering damper... With a good steering damper your steering wheel wont spin all around like that when going over bumpy track.

also host mentions engaging the CDL but not correct sticker (which means nothing I know) and does not appear to move lever to the left side of the transfer case slot. Unless retrofitting the CDL into models that didn't come with it installed from the factory is different. Mine has 4 different engagement slots, right side is normal Hi/Low and must slide to the left to engage CDL both Hi/Low

Thanks, guys. I took possession today.

Wife named it "Edward" for the black prince.

Oxydized paint, but quite straight.

Aftermarket wood trim needs a touch of of its lacquer. The interior is really clean and unmarked.

Like with any used Rover, I'm compiling the list of repairs:
1. Diagnose why the AC isn't working.
2. Diagnose why the cruise control isn't engaging.
3. Fix an aromatic coolant leak that doesn't leave any drips on the ground. I'll take a black light out after dark to see if I can spot the source of the leak. I don't think any of the hoses have ever been changed, and it's overdue....
4. Make new keys, because the one I received is worn to the point that I have to jiggle it to unlock the ignition lock.
5. Diagnose the cause of a slight pull to the right.
6. Diagnose the cause of the amber ACE light (but the system is still working, so maybe just a clogged filter and old, dirty fluid?).
7. Buy some remotes and program them into the security module, because this Disco came without its remotes.

None of this appears to interfere with driving around in town or on the highway, so it goes into trailer towing duty next weekend. I've got to take another car in for honorable recycling.

Scott
