What did you do with your DII today?

I watched the idiot in the Excursion get stuck again... Then his buddy buried his lifted F150 FX4 trying to get the Excursion out..... Then a tow truck showed up & it took them 45min to barely get the F150 out. They did not even attempt to pull out the Excursion haha.
I’ll help someone once, but when you tell them to leave it until it dries out & they wait a day & get buried 20ft from where it originally got stuck = they’re on their own!

did the power steering pump on one of the '04's. fairly easy, but i was a little surprised at how many other parts needed to come off to get to it. having the pump hanging on a stud was a strange design choice. seems like if there had been a bolt there instead of the stud then i wouldn't have needed to remove the AC compressor to get to the bracket that held the power steering pump in place.
other than the oppressive heat, blinding sweat and broiler type sunshine it wasn't too bad.

New lower ball joints (5 hours of grief). New (generic) muffler.
1,100 mile road trip. 14 mpg there. 13 mpg back. Burned half quart of oil.
Ran great! Comfortable road trip. Great A/C.
Much less rattling now. Sounded like a beat up WW2 tank before with the control joints clacking and half of a cat honeycomb bouncing around the inside of the OEM muffler.
