It has been a long time coming as a hitch rack for my bikes was a big factor in buying the disco.
Today I finally finished modifying the swing hitch and putting on the rack.
I wanted a driver side swing hitch, unfortunatly it was not fitting the way I liked so I chopped it up and adapted it. I wanted it to be level with the bumper, clear of the step, and as high up as possible to not wreck the exit angle. It also works as an expensive bench seat.

I think part of my issue is running with an RTT and heavy steel wheels/MTs in 33s. I had better temps prior to the swap and this new Nissen's rad. Figured having more capacity would help but maybe it's the wrong path.

I'm running an inline 180F from Extinct. I had much lower temps before but lately, things have been creeping up and I'd just like a little more capacity overall so I'm looking at options to increase capacity. I used to run 177-182F all day with A/C and 90F+ when I had the stock bumper and 31.5s. But with all the added gear, seems like living with the higher running temps might be a fact of life. Not sure.

Default Newbie question

i upgraded my entire suspension, currently my disco 2 is sitting on a 3" lift but i want to up my tires from 30's to 33's
i am not hardcore off roading in this car, mainly as a daily driver
do i need to upgrade my gears for bigger tires or should i be fine?

if i have to, should i just get 4.75 even though i'll be running 33's or should i go for the 4.37 if i have to change gears?

You’ll get some more visibility if you make your own thread but I’m running 33s with 4.12 gears as many other do here with good success. Because of my running gear, I probably should have opted for 4.37 but I couldn’t imagine running 4.75s with 33s. I do about 2570/2600 rpm at 70ish mph with 33.1” tires and 4.12 gears.

4.11/4.12s are perfect for 33s. I don't know anyone that's really happy running 4.37s with 33s. My classic runs 35s and 4.11s and it still turns them just fine..

Finally got my worklights done, just need to align them properly at some point.
The ones to the sides, on the front doors are operated on a remote.

Not too bad for a ~2x2" led light worth ~25 EUR per piece.
